Aruna bags gold in Oceania Para Taekwondo meet

Lucknow: Aruna Tanwar, SAI NCOE, Lucknow, won gold medal in 47 kg category in 2023 Oceania Para Taekwondo Open Championship-G4/G2 held at Brisbane, Australia on July 7. Aruna will be representing India in two major international tournaments, WT President Cup Oceania 2023 (G2) and the Australia Para Open 2023 (G1) to be held in Australia on July 8 and July 9.Sanjay Saraswat, senior executive director, coaches and staff conveyed best wishes to Aruna on her victory. Aruna had represented India at Tokyo 2020 Para Olympics and played well to reach in last eight. She is also pre-selected for Para Asian Games to be held at Hangzhou, China, in October 2023.tnn
