Woman dupedof ₹45,000 inonline fraud

Lucknow: An unidentified miscreant tricked a woman and duped her of Rs 45,000 in Hazratganj police station area. The incident took place on December 6, but the case was registered on January 4.As per reports, the miscreant phoned the victim, identified as Preeti Singh of Hazratganj and told her that he had inadvertently transferred Rs 45,000 in her bank account and requested her to refund the money. Preeti fell for the bait and lost the money as soon as she clicked the link sent on her mobile phone. SHO, Hazratganj, Akhilesh Mishra, said that an FIR was registered. TNN
