All three are serving out life terms. A Mumbai sessions court had last July awarded life sentence to 21 people, including 13 Mumbai police personnel, convicted for killing Lakhan Bhaiya. The police probe began only when pursuant to high court orders, R V Gupta’s complaint was registered in 2009.
