Maharashtra cabinet approves land for Amity University
Mumbai: The state cabinet on Tuesday approved the allotment of 15 acres in Panvel to Ritanand Balved Education Foundation, the parent institution of Amity University.According to a govt press release, various educational courses are taught in 18 branches at Amity University. Currently more than 5,000 students are studying there and the institution had requested land for introducing new courses and educational expansion.Accordingly, approval was given to provide about 15 acres. The land will be made available under Class-II occupancy category after paying the possession amount. It will be used for educational purposes such as educational complexes, playgrounds , hostels , libraries and laboratories.
