MUMBAI: The Nirmal Nagar police arrested two businessmen in a case of abetment to suicide of a doctor in Khar (E) on Thursday.
The deceased, Rajendra Borade, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in a hospital that he owned along with one of the accused. The hospital staff informed the police who found a suicide note with the deceased in which he stated that two of his friends were responsible for his death.

The police arrested Hidayat Khan (49) and Tayab Tanvar (50). The two were produced before a court on Friday and were sent to three days in police custody.
Borade had given a token amount of Rs 9 lakh to the accused to purchase a flat in Navi Mumbai. He was unable to manage the remaining amount so requested his friends to return the token amount. However, his friends refused to do so.
The police are also verifying foul play in the incident as Borade suffered a stroke a decade ago which left one of his arms paralyzed. The police are puzzled as to how Borade managed to take the drastic step using one hand. A post mortem is being conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
