MYSORE: The KSRTC Staff and Workers Union on Tuesday asked the state government to restart the process of revising their salary package.
The workers, who have rejected 6% pay hike, are seeking at least 17% hike on par with government employees. Federation leaders H R Sheshadri and N Nagaraju told reporters that the pay revise process, which was put on hold, should be restarted.
Taking objection to transport minister R Ashok's remarks that people can attack bus driver and conductor if the vehicle is not clean, Sheshadri said: "This is nothing but instigating people against us.
This is uncivilized behaviour by the minister. Isn't the seat of power Vidhana Soudha unclean (with corruption) What should be done about this"
The union leaders asked the CM to devise a code of conduct for the ministers. The Federation also sought merging of four road transport corporations into KSRTC as ordered by the high court.
