NAGPUR: City being the centre of India has a lot of potential to give voices to various causes and I want our representatives here to understand their power and use it to help the students section, said Ashish Chauhan, national secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (
ABVP) here on Thursday.
ABVP’s Vidarbha division convention was held at Bhat Hall in Reshimbagh.
Actor Ankit Mohan was the chief guest. ABVP’s new executive body and college representatives for Nagpur were announced during the event. India’s largest student organization ABVP has been working for the betterment of students and education.
Chauhan further said, “These days where students are facing problems like delaying of results, placements, faulty admission process etc. Many university related difficulties can be solved under right guidance and leadership. This is what ABVP works for.”
“Nagpur is a logistics hub and will soon have a Metro. Therefore it can stand against all problems faced by the students,” he added.
ABVP city President Sachin Randive urged the students and the committee members to work in harmony for the benefit of students. He motivated the new members to be torch-bearers of ABVP.
Seema Borkar will be the vice-president, Vaibhav Bawankar the mahanagar mantri, Amit Patle, Karan Khandare, Samarth Ragit, Shivesh Hargueb the sah-mantri. Several committee members including the representatives of ABVP in colleges around the city were also announced.
