Cops to ensure smooth traffic movement for Eid-ul-Fitr
Nashik: In anticipation of the large congregations expected for Eid-ul-Fitr, the Nashik city police have issued a temporary traffic control notification to ensure smooth vehicular movement.The restrictions will be in effect from 7am to 12pm on Saturday. As per the notification issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Kirithika CM, "Massive crowds are expected at Eidgah Maidan on Trimbak Road. People from surrounding areas like Dudhbazar, Chowk Mandai are expected to go to Eidgah Maidan to offer Namaz, the traffic restrictions have been put in place to prevent traffic jams."The major stretches of the roads that will be closed in both directions include Modak Signal to MICO Circle and Gadkari Signal to Chandak Circle.Commuters using the Modak Signal to MICO Circle route will have to take CBS, Tilakwadi signal and towards their destination, while the vehicles in the opposite direction will have to travel by MICO Circle, Chandak Circle and towards Hotel Sandeep.The vehicles travelling from Gadkari Signal to Chandak Circle will have to travel via Hotel Sandeep, and those in the opposite direction will have to take a detour via Sandeep Hotel.
The police have also deployed heavy bandobust in order to maintain law and order.Barricades will be put up at Sarda Circle, Ghanshyam Laundry towards Ved Mandir, MICO Circle, St Francis Highschool, Swatantryaveer Savarkar Swimming Tank, Modak Signal, Gadkari Signal, Chandak Circle, Thakkar Bazaar, Annabhau Sathe Statue and Khadkali Signal to prevent the movement of any vehicles inside the area.
