Nashik: Union environment minister and state
BJP in-charge
Bhupender Yadav on Sunday held a closed-door meeting with the party functionaries from the tribal community from across
Maharashtra.
A two-day meeting of the tribal cell of the BJP was organised in Nashik where Yadav, along with the joint national general secretary (organisation) of the BJP Shiv Prakash and state minister of tribal development Vijaykumar Gavit, discussed the tribal development issues with the members.
Also present during the meeting were MPs Hemant Savra, Gajendra Singh Patel (also national general secretary ST Cell of BJP), and Mahendra Singh Solanki — both from Madhya Pradesh.
Former Union minister of state Bharati Pawar said the discussions revolved around the fake narrative about the BJP being anti-reservation and the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's recent comments on reservation.
"The meeting stressed on the facts that the president of the country, Droupadi Murmu, is from the tribal community and this shows the commitment of the party for the development of the tribal community. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is directly monitoring the development of tribal-dominated districts through the ‘aspirational district programme' and other govt schemes that have been started in the interest of the members of the community," said Pawar.
The party functionaries were also asked to take the message to the voters to spread awareness among the masses about the govt's efforts for the development of the community.
