Patna varsity releases first UG merit list
Patna: Patna University (PU) on Tuesday released the first merit list for admission to its four-year undergraduate programmes for the 2026-27 academic session.
A total of 3,123 candidates have been allotted honours subjects and constituent colleges, while 428 seats remain vacant after the first round. Selected candidates can complete admission from June 10 to 12.
Students’ welfare dean Kameshwar Pandit said 6,572 applications were received for BA, BSc and BCom honours courses in Patna College, Patna Science College, B N College, Magadh Mahila College and Vanijya Mahavidyalaya. Of these, 6,424 candidates were found eligible.
“The merit list has been prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Class XII examination, while the reservation roster has been strictly followed,” he said.
Candidates can download allotment letters from the PU website using their application ID and password. The second merit list will be released on June 15, while the third and final list will be announced on June 21.
