Rs 32 lakh robbery solved; 7 arrested by Maharashtra's Naigaon police.

Naigaon police swiftly apprehended seven individuals, including three minors, within a day of a significant robbery. The thieves targeted a family's home during Ganeshotsav celebrations, stealing gold jewellery and cash valued at approximately 32 lakhs. In a further act of malice, the perpetrators also set fire to the family's general store located on the same property, compounding the victims' losses.

VASAI: The Naigaon cops have arrested seven, including three minors, within 24 hours of the robbery in which the thieves had stolen gold jewellery and cash worth around 32 lakhs. One of the accused is a receiver, who hid the gold, mother of the accused.The Nigaon family had gone to their relatives' place in Virar for ganeshotsav when this robbery had taken place. Apart from looting the house the thieves had also burnt down the owners general store, in the same premises, before fleeing the spot.Based on technical evidence and human intelligence the Naigaon cops arrested Deepak Kharat,21, Fatima Shaikh, 39, Sonu Khan,20, Ajay Yadav,20, and the three minors. All were locals and knew about this family. A senior cop said that we are now in the process of recovering the robbed items. Most of the accused are jobless while a couple of them do odd jobs. A police source said that after robbing a couple of them went to the general store and were smoking cigarettes with an intention to cause more damage. The owner suffered major losses as after the fire in his general stores the firefighters had used water to douse the fire and also for cooling purposes. The plastic oil cans melted causing the oil to spread.
