Magistrate Mrs BH Parmar in her order directed Kalwa police to register an offence against the accused and start investigation.
The magistrate in her order noted that prima facie it appears that the complainant's son suffers from intellectual disability. Therefore, she wanted to obtain a disability certificate for him from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital, Kalwa.
The complainant visited the hospital several times but was told to leave and denied the certificate. On November 4, 2020, the doctor asked her for ration card, electricity bill, sale deed of house, and other documents.
The complainant stated that it was difficult for her to obtain the aforesaid documents as her house was on leave and license basis. The doctor screamed at her and abused her, the complaint with the police stated.

The complainant tried to record a video on her phone but the security guards and other accused snatched her phone and a police officer deleted the video, FIR stated.
The accused pushed, assaulted, and even touched her inappropriately. The complainant, though managed to get out of the hospital, but the accused dragged her inside, took her to the security cabin, punched her and pulled her hair. Her allegations are supported by CCTV footage and other documents.
She first tried to register a complaint with Kalwa police, but had to later move court when her efforts went in vain.— Nishikant Karlikar
