THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Is making money the final quest of a human being in his life? An interactive session that took place on Saturday at B-Hub, Nalanchira led by former Kozhikode collector Prasanth Nair and crypto evangelist Nithin Eapen attempted to answer this question here at the event titled ‘Crypto and Compassion.’
Topics including why western countries are economically rich, constitutional rights, why revolutions happen, the impact of regulations implemented and issues of government and the system, in general, were all covered during the event.
Prasanth Nair, also known as ‘Collector Bro’ asked the audience to jot down five ambitions. Many responses were like working for the people, travelling around the world and earning money. The scenario soon changed when they were asked what their wishes would be if they were to die the next day. The answers suddenly changed to humane ones rather than those related to money.
“At the end of the day, we realize that money is always secondary. During a previous session at Madras IIT, I asked the same question to the students there and while the initial answers were similar, the death scenario turned the whole ambience emotional. One of the girls who were staying at a hostel said that she wished to call her mother and talk to her a lot. It is not that she did not have time till a few minutes back, but in the face of death real priorities become visible,” said Prasanth.
Nithin Eapen focused mainly on the present socio-economic condition but emphasized on the crypto technology.
