Anakapalle cops arrest most-wanted property offenders

Visakhapatnam: The Anakapalle district police arrested a three-member most-wanted gang for their involvement in property offences, and the police recovered 450 gms of gold ornaments and 250 gms of silver ornaments, all worth over Rs 66 lakh, from them.The arrested have been identified as Rongali Prakash (24), Siriki Vijay Kumar (27) from Pachilavanipalem of K Kotapadu mandal in Anakapalle district and E Vinay Kumar (28), from Akkayyapalem in Vizag.Anakapalli district police chief Tuhin Sinha stated a property offence was reported at Venkatapuram village under Munagapaka police station limits in the district on May 2. The investigation has revealed that a three-member gang was involved in the offence.The police managed to nab the gang when the trio on a bike was trying to escape the police personnel during the routine vehicular checkups near Laxmipuram bus stop and recovered stolen gold and silver ornaments from them.During the interrogation, the trio confessed that they were involved in property offences under Yelamanchili rural and urban police stations, Rambilli police station, Anakapalle and Sabbavaram police stations in Anakapalle district, S Kota (Vizianagaram) and Nadendla in Guntur district. The police said the investigation is on to recover some more stolen property from the gang.
