Andhra Pradesh: Two students drown in pond

TIRUPATI: Two students who went for swim in local pond near Cheekulabailu village in Madanapalle rural mandal of Chittoor district drowned on Monday.
According to local police, P Ganesh (7) and G Sandeep (10), studying in third and fourth standard at a private school near Madanapalle went for a swim along with their other friends at Kadiramma Cheruvu, a local water body near their village.
The boys thought the water wouldn't be too deep and got inside the water body, but couldn't swim back to the shore. A passersby who noticed the bodies of the two children informed the local police who reached there and fished out the bodies.
Madanapalle rural police has registered a case and sent the bodies to the local government hospital for post-mortem.
