Fire destroys seized liquor bottles at Gudivada CCS police station

Vijayawada: Non-duty paid liquor (NDPL) bottles and illicitly distilled (ID) liquor seized in different cases and stored in the storeroom of the Gudivada CCS police station were destroyed after a minor fire broke out following a short circuit at the police station premises on Wednesday. "The fire broke out around 11.30 am on Wednesday, and it was extinguished by firefighters within minutes using a fire extinguisher. No major property damage or human loss was reported due to the incident," Gudivada CCS CI Ramanamma told TOI.
