TTD laddu issue rocks AP legislative council again
Vijayawada: The TTD laddu issue continued to rock the legislative council on Wednesday too, with opposition YSRCP demanding a debate on the issue by forcing the suspension of regular business. YSRCP members moved two adjournment motions — one to discuss ghee supplied to TTD, and the other on the Heritage and Indapur dairy ties. With council chairman K Moshenu Raju rejecting the adjournment motions, YSRCP members started raising slogans.Finance minister Payyavula Keshav said the govt is ready to discuss any issue, but only by following the rules in the House, and urged the chairman to set the House in order so that he could respond to the issue. However, as opposition members refused to back down, Moshenu Raju adjourned the House for five minutes, but it commenced only after noon. As the same scene repeated in the afternoon session too, he adjourned the House.

Stating that the govt is ready for a debate on the ghee supplied to TTD, home minister Vangalapudi Anitha asked YSRCP members to first place evidence before the House. She said the SIT report submitted to the govt clearly stated that the material under question was not ghee but a mixture of chemicals.
The opposition is bringing unrelated issues to the House and creating disruptions. I challenge YSRCP members to come for a discussion if they have facts to support their allegations," she said, adding that she is willing to discuss in the House what chemicals were mixed in the ghee.
