TIRUPATI: Hindu devotees in the state of Jharkhand will soon get to frequent a Tirupati Balaji mandir in their home state itself as the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams trust resolved to construct a replica temple of Tirupati in Jharkhand state soon.
Making the announcement after the trust board meeting held at Tirumala on Tuesday, Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and EO AV Dharma Reddy said the state government of Jharkhand approached Andhra Pradesh Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy with a plea to establish a Lord Balaji mandir in their state.
The Jharkhand government also expressed its inclination to allocate 100 acres of land for the construction of the Tirupati Balaji mandir at Devgarh, which already houses the highly venerated shrine of Shri Vaidyanatha-one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and also a Shakti Peedam.
Following the directions of the AP CM, the TTD trust board resolved to construct a replica temple of Lord Venkateswara at the site earmarked by the Jharkhand government.
The Tirupati trust said that it would soon complete all administrative formalities related to the new proposal.
TTD, which has established temples at Jammu, Rishikesh, Delhi, Mumbai, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Odisha etc, plans to establish at least one replica temple of Lord Balaji in every state and union territory across the country.
