Vishakhapatnam girl wins national-level contest

VISHAKHAPATNAM: In a spectacular display of talent and intellect, a fifth-standard student L Dhruvika Aaryana, from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Public School, emerged victorious at the national level competition with more than five lakh participants in the Classmate All-rounder contest held in New Delhi. The girl’s outstanding performance in multifaceted skills secured her the coveted title along with a generous cash prize of Rs.One lakh with the trophy of a classmate.
Her achievement brings laurels not only to the school but also to the city and state, as Dhruvika Aaryana stands as the sole representative from Andhra Pradesh to bag this prestigious title. The other winners in her category and the senior category hailed from different states, adding to the diverse and competitive nature of the contest, with participants from places such as Varanasi and Punjab.
The competition commenced at the school level, spanning across 33 cities nationwide. From every school, approximately 10 finalists, 5 in the junior category (grades 5 to 8) and 5 in the senior category (grades 9 to 12), qualified for the city-level contest. At the city level, two junior category winners and two senior category winners proceeded to the national finale, which had competitions of various skills and talents in three days in New Delhi.
In the final, competitions include a written quiz, and a public speaking workshop, followed by a physical ability test. The intense competition comprised three rounds, starting with an on-stage quiz, followed by a talent round, and concluding with the challenging judges' question round. Dhruvika won the title at the junior level.
