A press conference was held at 11:00 AM at the board’s Pune office, where key statistics, including overall pass percentage and stream-wise performance, were released before the activation of the result link.
Overall performance highlights
A total of 14,44,713 students appeared for the HSC examinations conducted between February 10 and March 18, 2026, out of which 14,33,058 students passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 89.79%.
Girls outperformed boys, recording a pass percentage of 93.15%, while boys stood at 86.80%.
The results show a decline of 2.09% compared to last year’s pass percentage of 91.88%.
Division-wise performance
Among the nine divisional boards, Konkan division recorded the highest pass percentage at 94.14%, while Latur division recorded the lowest at 84.14%.
Stream-wise performance
- Science: 96.44%
- Commerce: 87.03%
- Arts: 78.02%
- Vocational Education: 82.74%
- ITI: 81.78%
Science remained the top-performing stream, while Arts recorded the lowest pass percentage.
Result access and digital updates
Although the result has been declared, students will be able to access their marks online only after 12 noon on official websites including mahahsscboard.in, hscresult.mkcl.org, and results.digilocker.gov.in.
Students can also check their results via DigiLocker and the UMANG app using Aadhaar-linked credentials. Seat number and mother’s first name will be required to download provisional marksheets.
The board has introduced an enhanced QR code system for verification and merged the marksheet and passing certificate into a single digital document this year.
Post-result processes
Students can apply for verification of marks and photocopy of answer sheets from May 3 to May 17, 2026.
Re-evaluation applications can be submitted after obtaining a photocopy within five working days.
Students can also opt for the Class Improvement Scheme, allowing them to reappear in up to three consecutive exam sessions.
