PSPCL recruitment 2026: Registration begins for 622 JE posts; check eligibility and direct link to apply
Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has started the online registration process for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (Electrical) posts today, April 20, 2026. A total of 622 vacancies have been announced under Advertisement No. CRA 316/26.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of PSPCL.
The registration process has started from today, April 20, 2026. The last date to submit the online application form is May 10, 2026, while the last date to pay the application fee is May 15, 2026.
Candidates are advised not to wait till the last date to apply, as applications without fee payment will not be accepted.
This recruitment drive will fill 622 posts of Junior Engineer (Electrical) in PSPCL.
These vacancies are distributed across different categories, including General, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Scheduled Caste (SC), Backward Class (BC), Ex-servicemen, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and others.

Selection will be based on an online computer-based test. The exam will have 100 multiple-choice questions covering:
Each correct answer will carry one mark, and there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Selected candidates will get a minimum basic pay of ₹35,400 per month as per the Seventh Central Pay Commission (7th CPC).

Eligibility criteria
Educational qualification
Candidates must have any one of the following qualifications:
- Full-time diploma in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering with at least 60% marks, or
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) / Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical) with at least 50% marks, or
- Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering with at least 50% marks
- In addition, candidates must have passed Punjabi at least at the Matriculation (Class 10) level.
Age limit
- The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 37 years as on January 1, 2026. Age relaxation will be given to reserved categories as per Punjab government rules.
Application fee
- ₹1200 for all candidates except Scheduled Caste (SC) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
- ₹750 for SC and PwD candidates
- Additional GST and bank charges will apply.
- The fee must be paid online only. Applications without payment will be rejected.
Selection process
Selection will be based on an online computer-based test. The exam will have 100 multiple-choice questions covering:
- Technical subject (Electrical)
- Punjabi language
- General knowledge
- Reasoning
- General English
Each correct answer will carry one mark, and there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Pay scale
Selected candidates will get a minimum basic pay of ₹35,400 per month as per the Seventh Central Pay Commission (7th CPC).
