The teaser of Vijaynagar’er Hirey has been unveiled, signalling the much-awaited return of Kakababu to Bengali cinema. The new film takes forward the legacy of earlier Kakababu adventures including Mishawr Rawhoshyo (2013), Yeti Obhijaan (2017) and Kakababur Protyaborton (2022), as the iconic explorer sets out on another high-stakes quest — this time in the historic landscape of Hampi.Directed by Chandrasish Ray and based on Sunil Gangopadhyay’s celebrated story, the film follows Kakababu, played by Prosenjit Chatterjee, along with Shontu (Aryann Bhowmik) and Jojo (Pushan Dasgupta), as they pursue a mythical diamond said to outshine even the Kohinoor.
