Hollywood celebs on motherhood

Jessica Alba
Actress Jessica Alba said that she felt she was being 'judged' by other mothers when she first gave birth to daughter, Honor (7). According to a PTI report, the Sin City star, who has daughters Honor (7), and Haven (3), with husband Cash Warren, said she was worried about the opinions of other mothers when she gave birth to her eldest child, reported E!Online. "Doesn't it feel like the mean girl thing from high school sort of just transforms into adulthood through motherhood? I think it has to do with hormones, right?... And then your hormones go crazy again when you're pregnant and having a baby, and even when you're breastfeeding. And I feel like maybe it's just all those hormones, and people don't know where to put their energy, so they just start clashing," she said.

Angelina Jolie
Actress Angelina Jolie believes her mother was a far better parent to her than she is to her own children. According to an IANS report, the Maleficent actress, who raises children Maddox (12), Pax (10), Zahara (9), Shiloh (8), and five-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with Brad Pitt, says her late mother Marcheline Bertrand is her role model and that she couldn't have done a better job at bringing up her, and her brother James Haven. "It's hard to think I could be as good a mother as she was. Her whole life was motherhood," Contactmusic.com quoted her as saying. Angelina also admits she prefers to home-school her children because she wants them to have "a bigger picture of life".

Eva Mendes
According to an IANS report, Eva Mendes said that she feels more grateful for all of the things her own mother did for her, now that she's a parent herself for six months with long-term partner Ryan Gosling and their daughter Esmeralda. "Now I understand so much, my mother's never gotten more, 'I love you so much mommy' texts, I mean, randomly... I get it now," she said on TV show Extra, reports Femalefirst.co.uk.

Blake Lively
Actress Blake Lively thinks having a baby is "like living with a drug addict". According to a PTI report, the 27-year-old beauty, who married actor Ryan Reynolds in 2012 and gave birth to their first child James in December 2014, said that living with a newborn child has posed some unusual challenges, reported Contactmusic.com. "Having a baby is just living in the constant unexpected. You never know when you're gonna get crapped on or when you're gonna get a big smile or when that smile immediately turns into hysterics. It might be like living with a drug addict," she said. "You have a baby and you think, 'I can't imagine ever not having a baby', because they grow up so quickly. I'd be an 80-year-old woman with a baby if I could," she added.

Sienna Miller
Actress Sienna Miller said that becoming a mother for the first time "changed everything" for her. According to an IANS report, Miller gave birth to daughter Marlowe, her first child with fiance Tom Sturridge, back in the summer of 2012. "I think having a baby really changed everything, if I'm honest. I think that's where it began. The stakes are higher. You have someone that you want to be proud of you eventually. You're aware of your own mortality. For me, as soon as I had a baby, I had a vision of my life - and what was left of it," she said in an interview to The Observer magazine, reports Femalefirst.co.uk.
