2025's headline-grabbing star kids: Aryan Khan, Rasha Thadani, Shanaya Kapoor and more

2025 was a fun but tricky year for Bollywood's new batch of star kids. Some did great work and won big at the box office, others faced hard times, and a few went viral online. From first-time directing wins to fun movie moments, here's how these next-gen stars fared this year.
2/6

Aryan Khan

Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, made a brave choice in 2025 by jumping into directing instead of acting. His debut Netflix show ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ turned into a massive hit for a first-time director. Packed with witty jokes, Bollywood secrets, and bold characters, it earned love from viewers and experts alike. Aryan proved he's more than just a star kid, he's a true director with his own style, skilled at crafting stories that draw huge crowds.

Ahaan Panday

Ahaan Panday, Ananya Panday's cousin and son of Chikky and Deanne Panday, emerged as 2025's top breakout star with his movie ‘Saiyaara’. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film ranked among the year's biggest box-office successes. Ahaan's acting won hearts, and his on-screen spark with co-star Aneet Padda became a fan favorite. ‘Saiyaara’ connected deeply with young viewers through its touching tale and lively songs.
4/6

Rasha Thadani

Rasha Thadani's first year in films stood out for one key scene, the dance track ‘Uyi Amma’ from her debut movie ‘Azaad’. The film earned mixed feedback, but the song exploded online with its lively moves and Rasha's instant star quality. It turned into a social media craze, as fans and creators remixed her clips with their own flair. Though ‘Azaad’ didn't shine at the box office, Rasha's energy in ‘Uyi Amma’ created a lasting buzz that fans keep chatting about.
5/6

Ibrahim Ali Khan

Ibrahim Ali Khan kicked off his acting journey in 2025 with the teen rom-com ‘Nadaaniyan’, which dropped on Netflix March 7. Produced by Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment, it cast him as the lead opposite Khushi Kapoor. His star family background sparked huge interest, but the movie faced mostly mixed-to-negative feedback, especially for its weak script and the newbies' performances. Later, he joined ‘Sarzameen’, a tense action drama on JioHotstar, acting with Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Shanaya Kapoor

Shanaya Kapoor finally debuted in ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’, but the film failed to pull in crowds. High hopes turned into dull results with mixed reviews. Shanaya opened up about her tough path, owning the hard work and admitting her big launch didn't hit the mark.
