Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dishes advice for newcomers at Cannes 2026: 'Too much is manufactured today, be your own best friend'
After keeping everyone in eager anticipation for days, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan finally delivered a showstopping red carpet moment at the Cannes Film Festival. Following her grand appearance, the actress expressed gratitude to her fans for their unwavering love and support over the years. She also offered heartfelt advice to newcomers, encouraging them to step out, find their passion, and stay true to their choices.
In a conversation with Brut, Aishwarya reflected on how every individual's professional journey is uniquely their own, saying, “I’m grateful for the love and support. Thank you so much for the appreciation, but I truly feel your journey in the artistic world, or any world you choose, is individual. And your experiences are what will enrich you and help you discover what choices you can make. Because different strokes for different folks. So, you don’t know what’s going to work for you, what’s right or wrong."
“All I’d like to say is go out there, discover your passion, and be true to your choices. You have to be your best friend because you have to stand by yourself. What goes on around you isn’t something you can predict, nor should you be looking at manufacturing in the current world scenario, where so much that gets done is manufactured. There’s no fun, magic, and discovery of what all one can do in the journey of exploring. You have to be alive and experience life, and then bring that to your art. So, be true to who you are. Be brutally honest with yourself," she further continued.
Offering words of wisdom to those just starting out in the industry, Aishwarya urged them to embrace a lifelong love of learning and soak in every moment of the journey, adding, "Everything else will find its place as it's meant to be."

Aishwarya's debut look at Cannes 2026 instantly became the talk of the town. The actress turned heads in a striking sculptural abyss-blue gown crafted by designer Amit Aggarwal and styled by Mohit Rai. The breathtaking mermaid-silhouette creation was brought to life through what the designer described as "Crystal Vein embroidery, where thousands of crystalline embellishments converge within sculptural lattice-like structures to create an interplay of luminosity, depth, and fluidity."Comments (1)
