Maahi on comparisons with his father Shaan: He believes in me and constantly reminds me to stay true to my voice
For his latest romantic track, Tere Saath Maahi pours his heart out to celebrate the beauty of love in all its forms - familial, platonic, and romantic. Inspired by the special people in his life, including his grandmother, parents, and friends, Maahi's music is a testament to the power of relationships and connections. With his father's legacy as the "king of romance" in music, Maahi is carving his path.
Ask him if the romantic ballad is inspired by someone from his real life and he replies,
"Oh yes, but it’s not just one special someone. And before you start playing matchmaker or jumping to conclusions, let me clarify! This track is a heartfelt dedication to all the people who hold a special place in my life and the roles they play. It's inspired by my Thammu—my grandmother—who, though she’s no longer with us, I still dream of sharing the world with, traveling together. It’s for my parents, who have been my guiding lights, my friends who stand by me through thick and thin, and, of course, for that romantic special someone whom I hope to find someday. This song is an ode to love in all its forms—familial, platonic, and romantic."
Talking about what inspired him for the track, he says, "Life is filled with relationships that we cherish deeply—whether it’s the playful, carefree love of friendship, the nurturing bond with aging parents, or even the unconditional love of a pet. I wanted to create a song that celebrates these connections and moments. If you listen closely to the lyrics of Tere Saath Main Duniya Dekhna Chaoon - you’ll notice that it goes beyond being just a romantic love song. It’s about the joy of experiencing life with someone special by your side, whoever that may be. This track celebrates sharing the journey of life, be it with your partner, parents, friends, or even your furry companion."
Maahi's father singer Shaan is known for singing romantic tracks in Hindi movies. Did Maahi ever feel any pressure or concern about being compared to his father in his own musical journey? He says, "There’s no pressure at all. My father has his unique sound and an incredible journey, and I’ve always admired that. He’s been my biggest inspiration. He’s always encouraged me to carve my own path. He believes in me and constantly reminds me to stay true to my voice. If anything, he’s my strongest support system, cheering me on every step of the way. I’m excited to define my own space in the music world."
