'Sadak' went on to become a turning point in Sanjay Dutt's career, even though it was the villain who shone the brightest.

In 1991, 'Sadak' became a box office sensation, making significant wealth for its creators. Although Sanjay Dutt's performance was highly appreciated, the real star was Sadashiv Amrapurkar, who portrayed the infamous Sadak Ki Maharani.

Jackie Shroff, famous for hits like 'Ram Lakhan,' 'Parinda,' and 'Tridev,' was the original choice for the lead role. At the time, he was considered a surefire guarantee of success. However, the character of Ravi ultimately went to Sanjay Dutt, marking a turning point in his career.
