Throwback: When Jaya Bachchan said that Aishwarya Rai is filling the vacuum left by daughter Shweta

In the last couple of months, a lot has been written about Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan's marriage. Rumor mills have been working overtime with reports on trouble in paradise, though Abhishek Bachchan, at a recent event had told the paps that he is 'very much' married. Aishwarya and Abhishek had tied the knot in 2007, and are parents to teenage daughter Aaradhya!


Years back, while appearing on Koffee With Karan, Jaya Bachchan had showered lots of love on her then would be daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai, and how she is the perfect fit for her son. She had said that her husband Amitabh Bachchan's face lights up as soon as Ash enters the room, and it is so nice to have someone who can fill up the vacuum left by their daughter Shweta (who was married by that time).

While on Aishwarya, recently she was seen seeking blessings of Lord Ganesha as she arrived at the GSB seva mandal during Ganesh Chaturthi. The actress looked stunning in a pink ethnic wear as she was constantly taking care of her daughter Aaradhya Rai Bachchan and her mom Vrinda Rai who had also accompanied her.



The place was too crowded and the trio were struggling to make their way to the car after the darshan. That's when Aishwarya told Aaradhya to rush to the car which had come. Meanwhile, the internet cannot stop gushing over Aaradhya's ethnic look in a yellow dress and new hairdo. Aaradhya is now seen without her fringes and yesterday she looked even more different.


Users called her beautiful. A fan shared these pictures and wrote, "Haaye Pyaari Pyaari." Another fan called the mother-daughter duo 'dolls'.

Everyone also praised the kind of upbringing Aaradhya has got. Aishwarya was seen clicking pictures of her daughter with her mom. She was also taking selfies happily.
