Director Chidambaram has vehemently denied rumors of a collaboration with actor Dileep on a survival thriller, urging social media users to verify information and stating he has no involvement in such a project. His upcoming film, Balan, has already earned praise from filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma after a preview.
Director Chidambaram has dismissed reports claiming he is joining hands with actor Dileep for a new film. The filmmaker reacted strongly to the rumour and asked social media pages to verify information before spreading it. He also clarified that he has no connection with the “survival thriller” project mentioned in the reports shared by a Twitter page. According to the rumour, Chidambaram and the Manjummel Boys team were planning a new film with Dileep. It was also claimed that the story belonged to the survival-thriller genre. Chidambaram rejected the story outright. To make his point clear, he shared the news card through his social media handle and added his response to it.“Please verify before you post trash. And I am not a survival thriller specialist,” he wrote in an Instagram Story. He also shared another story saying he is collaborating with Dileep and wrote, 'Fake'.

Focus shifts to Chidambaram’s upcoming film ‘Balan’

Chidambaram last directed 'Manjummel Boys' which achieved major success in theatres. His next project is titled 'Balan' and the screenplay is written by the 'Aavesham' director Jithu Madhavan.

Recently, the filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma met Chidambaram. After the meeting, he watched a short cut of Balan.
He later shared his reaction through X, “Me with #Chidambaram, the BLOCKBUSTER director of #ManjummelBoys. Just saw a small cut of his latest film #Balan and it’s BEYOND FANTASTIC. Just AMAZING.”

Dileep's 'Bha.Bha.Ba.'

On the other hand, Dileep was last seen in the action spoof movie 'Bha.Bha.Ba.' which received mixed reviews from the audiences and did only a mediocre performance at the box office. The movie also features Mohanlal in a major cameo role. Dileep was also seen in the family entertaine 'Prince and Family' which was a decent hit and received good reviews, although it was not a perfect comeback of the 'Janapriya Nayagan'.
