Prabhas-starrer ‘The Raja Saab’ was released on January 9. The film was expected to be one of the biggest Sankranti releases this year. However, after its initial run, the film received mixed to negative reviews which led to a drop in the numbers at the box office.
The Raja Saab Movie ReviewAccording to trade analyst Sacnilk, early estimates suggest that the movie made over Rs 2.50 crore on its tenth day. The film’s collection on its first day and premiere shows a total of Rs 62.9 crore, followed by a good collection throughout the weekend. Later in the week, it completed its box office run earning an estimated Rs 130.25 crore in total.

The film saw a huge drop in collection on its second weekend. On Day 8, on Friday, it added Rs 3.5 crore and on Saturday, the film earned Rs 3 crore. Now, the film's total collection sits at an estimaed Rs 139.25 crore.
The movie is yet to hit the Rs 200 crore mark as the worldwide collection stands at an estimated Rs 196.65 crore.

‘The Raja Saab’ had an overall 28.37% Telugu occupancy on Sunday. In the morning, the shows recorded 20.03% occupancy, which later increased to 34.72%. It had similar occupancy in the evening as it recorded 35.33% and lastly, the night shows recorded a dip in footfalls with just 23.41% occupancy.

About the film
Directed by Maruthi, the film is a horror-comedy movie in which Prabhas plays a young man who inherits a mansion, only to understand that it is filled with spirits. He later encounters mysterious events linked to his missing grandfather. It also features Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Boman Irani, and Riddhi Kumar in key roles.
