Ee Rojullo

What we liked about Ee Rojullo was that this film was beautifully shot on the Canon 5D camera. We consider this film a success simply because it managed to use affordable DSLR video technology to shoot a super hit film. In terms of entertainment, Ee Rojullo is something that deserves to be seen. After being defrauded by a con woman, Sri begins to perceive all women as fraudsters whereas Shreya dislikes men for misunderstanding her friendship for love. What happens when these two individuals meet forms the crux of the story. The film is one of the best rom-coms ever made and is remembered for Kumar Sai’s comic genius. By the way, it was the directorial debut of Maruthi.

Bus Stop

A very refreshing take on love, romance, friendship and life, Bus Stop was said to be made for this generation. The coming-of-age film made it a point to celebrate love but not at the cost of sacrificing a parent’s unconditional love. Despite her father's opposition, Shailaja falls in love with her childhood friend Seenu. On the other hand, Seema wastes her time by flirting with multiple men. How their life turns out to forms the rest of the story. Bus Stop was Maruthi’s second directorial venture.

Bhale Bhale Magadivoy

It’s a tale of a junior scientist Lucky who suffers from short term memory loss falls in love with a classical dance instructor Nandana. But Nandana’s father has already got to know Lucky’s problem and denies marriage with his daughter. How Lucky convince Nandana’s father to get marry her forms the crux of the story. Bhale Bhale Magadivoy gave us Nani and one of the most adorable romantic comedy entertainers in the history of Telugu cinema. Consider this as one of the best comedy yet coming of age films made in recent times. Ee Rojullo garnered much critical acclaim, but it was Bhale Bhale Magadivoy that made Maruthi one of the top filmmakers in Tollywood.

Mahanubhavudu

Probably one of Maruthi’s best movies, Mahanubhavudu taught us to love, laugh and live. Who wouldn’t relate with a young man Anand with an obsession for cleanliness, faces a dilemma after his fixation comes in the way of having a normal relationship. With powerful performances that struck a chord for its honest portrayal of love. This is a coming of age romantic comedy entertainer starring Sharwanand and Mehreen Pirzada.

Prati Roju Pandage

Prati Roju Pandage starring Sai Dharam Tej in the lead was perhaps one of the most relatable films of our time. An NRI grandson Sai wishes to make the last few weeks for his dying grandfather Raghu Ramayya a time to remember. But Raghu Ramayya’s NRI children are money minded and hesitate to visit their native place at least once in a year. This happens with most of us and so we can relate with Sathyaraj's character Raghu Ramayya as he goes through the same emotions. This is Maruthi’s last release that tugs at your heartstrings.
