The name Namrata Shirodkar itself reminds you of beauty. Born on January 22, 1972 in Mumbai, the actress appeared in an array of films in different languages between 1998 and 2004. Hails from a Maharashtrian family
The actor hails from a traditional Maharashtrian family of Goan origin and born and brought up in Mumbai. Her father name is Nitin Shirodkar and mother name is Vanita Shirodkar. Namrata has a younger sister Shilpa Shirodkar, who is an actress as well. She is known for her roles in films such as Paap Ki Kamaee, Benaam Badsha, Jeevan Ki Shatranj, Khuda Gawah, Hum Hain Bemisaal, Apne Dam Par, to name a few. Namrata is the granddaughter of renowned Marathi actress Meenakshi Shirodkar.

Beauty Pageant winner
Before venturing into the entertainment world, Namrata Shirodkar used to work as a model and had been involved in some modelling assignments. Namrata has achieved a lot from winning a beauty pageant to holding awards. The actress won beauty pageant Femina Miss India Universe 1993 and along with it, she was also crowned Femina Miss India Asia Pacific 1993 and represented India at the Miss Universe pregnant in 1993. Not just this, she has also been nominated IIFA Best Supporting Actress Award for Pukar.

Marriage and family
The former beauty queen got married to one of Tollywood's biggest superstars Mahesh Babu in the year 2005. The duo has two children together, son Gautam Krishna Ghattamaneni and daughter Sitara. She keeps sharing adorable pictures with them on her social media pages and needless to say, they are cute beyond imagination. One of the adorable couples of Tollywood, Namrata and Mahesh too met and fell in love while working on a film together. After months of speculations, the couple revealed that they are dating each other.

Notable films of Namrata
Namrata’s debut in Bollywood was with Shirdi Ke Sai Baba as a child artist in the year 1977. She had a small role in Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai (1998), starring Salman Khan and Twinkle Khanna. Namrata’s performance in Vaastav and Kachche Dhaage helped her gain a lot of recognition and accolades. The actress, who has been a very important part of Bollywood for many years now, has ruled the box office with movies like Hero Hindustani, Aaghaaz, Albela, Tera Mera Saath Rahen, Hathyar: Face to Face with Reality, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, Maseeha, Pran Jaaye Par Shaan Na Jaaye and many more.

Happily adopts the role of homemaker
Namrata Shirodkar was an ultimate diva whose one sight would take anyone's heart away. She was not just drop-dead gorgeous, but also a powerhouse performer. She was an established actress, but she happily gave up the limelight to revel in her role as a wife and a homemaker. Post-marriage, Namrata retired from the film industry. She moved to the Pearl City where she now lives with her husband and two kids. We really hope she makes a comeback.
