Happy Women's Day 2022: 5 Tollywood actresses who continued acting post marriage
There are several actresses in Tollywood namely Namrata Shirodkar (Mahesh Babu's wife), Anitha Haasnandani, Asin Thottumkal, Richa Gangopadhyay, Ayesha Takia, Sonali Bendre who quit their acting career post marriage. However, that's not the case with married actors as they’ll continue to enjoy their stardom all through their lives. Today, on the account of International Women's Day, here we celebrate and salute the brave decision of actresses who despite being married continued their profession of acting, Here we go!

Ramya Krishna
Ramya Krishna is an Indian actress born in Chennai and married Telugu filmmaker Krishna Vamsi in 2003 and they have a son. She never stopped acting in films instead chose movies and roles that suit her advancing age all the time. She also has won several film awards for her performances in various films. She was recently seen playing the lady lead to Tollywood King Nagarjuna in his ‘Bangarraju’ and has ‘Liger’ gearing up for release later this year.

Meena
Actress Meena again, who was born in Chennai with mixed ethnicity, while her father is from Andhra and her mother is from Kerala. She got married to a Telugu software engineer based in the US in 2009 but continued acting in Films as usual. After marriage, she has done some remarkable films such as ‘Drishyam’, ‘Drushyam 2’ and very recently she had ‘Bro Daddy’ released in Malayalam and is busy filming for a Tamil film titled ‘Rowdy Baby’.

Bhumika Chawla
Born into a Punjabi family Bhumika Chawla started her film career in the Telugu film industry with the 2000 film ‘Yuvakudu’ and after giving a couple of superhits she got married to Bharath Thakur in 2007. However, she never quit acting in Telugu films, in fact, she also ventured into other film industries and did more films than before. Last year she had 2 Telugu releases, this year she is filming one in Tamil titled ‘Kannai Nambathey’ and ‘Operation Majnu’ in Hindi.

Kajal Aggarwal
Kajal Aggarwal made her acting debut with the 2004 Hindi film ‘Kyun! Ho Gaya Na…’ had her first Telugu film release in 2007 film titled ‘Lakshmi Kalyan’ since then she has starred in several blockbuster Telugu films and 2020 she got married to Gautam Kitchlu and she did films such as ‘Mumbai Saga’, ‘Mosagallu’, ‘Hey Sinamika’, ‘Acharya’ and several others until she got pregnant from her husband.

Manchu Lakshmi
Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna made her acting debut with a 2008 English short film titled ‘The Ode’ since then she has acted and produced several Telugu films and got married to Andy Srinivasan in 2006. She has one daughter born through surrogacy and she continued acting in films as ever. She made her Tamil film debut with the 2013 Maniratnam film ‘Kadal’ and this year she is busy filming for a maiden Malayalam film ‘Monster’ alongside Mohanlal.

Anandhi
This Telugu girl born in Warangal, Telangana, made her acting debut with the 2012 Maruthi Dasari film ‘Busstop’ since then she has acted in several Telugu and Tamil films and got married to Socrates in 2021. Last year she had 4 films released in Theaters that include 2 Telugu and 2 Tamil films and this year she is busy shooting for ‘Yet to be titled’ Allari Naresh Film.
