Purandara aka Pora is a journalist who visits the USA after the murder of an Indian student. He meets Nidhi, another student, in the USA who charms him and they decide to get married. What happens when Pora goes missing on the morning of the wedding?
This film could have been an interesting tale that recounts the problems of the Indians abroad. Instead, it uses the mask of being a film that has been extensively shot in the USA to eventually be just another normal film that revolves around an unbeatable protagonist and his heroics. The first half of the film is set in the USA, where umpteen issues are skimmed through before the action shifts to heartland Karnataka, where the story's twist is akin to that of the Hollywood comedy The Hangover.
This film begins on a rather jagged note where one sees the death of an Indian student and other atrocities that Indians face there in the name of racism. A hero enters the arena to help some women in distress and also woo the heroine, who happens to be the daughter of the Home Minister of Karnataka and wants to make it on her own without her father's help in life.
The biggest drawback for this film is that the two halves of this film are two different films. They could have separately been made into two different stories. This narrative though seems too long and tedious and it can get too taxing for one to watch. The film seems rather rushed in its making, especially the parts shot abroad. The film could have turned out better, but go ahead and watch it if you must.
