Arvind Kejriwal news live updates: Senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh on Tuesday confirmed that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's personal assistant Bibhav Kumar misbehaved with AAP MP Swati Maliwal, saying the AAP convenor has taken cognisance of the matter and will take appropriate action. "Yesterday, a condemnable incident took place. Swati Maliwal had gone to Arvind Kejriwal's residence to meet him. While she was waiting for him in the drawing room, Bibhav Kumar misbehaved with her. A court on Monday deferred taking cognisance of a fresh chargesheet filed by Enforcement Directorate (ED) against Bharat Rashtra Samiti’s K Kavitha in a money laundering case linked to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam.
The court of special judge Kaveri Baweja will hear it again on Tuesday. The chargesheet, which names Kavitha as an accused, has been filed under Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting with AAP’s municipal councillors on Monday and praised them for “not succumbing to pressure from BJP and central agencies”.
AAP functionaries said Kejriwal also took stock of the work done by the councillors and asked them to keep working for the welfare of people.
This was Kejriwal’s first meeting with municipal councillors after his release from Tihar Jail on interim bail granted by the Supreme Court last week to campaign in the ongoing elections. But the country needs to think about itself. The country doesn't have time to think about Kejriwal".

AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, his wife Sunita Kejriwal, and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann were on Monday included in the party's list of 40 star campaigners in the state for the Lok Sabha elections. Polling for Punjab's 13 Lok Sabha seats will be held on June 1.
The Delhi chief minister, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in a money-laundering case linked to the alleged excise policy scam, was granted interim bail till June 1 by the Supreme Court on May 10.
The list of star campaigners also includes the names of jailed leaders Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain.
The other star campaigners for AAP are Rajya Sabha MPs Sanjay Singh and Raghav Chadha, who is currently abroad for eye treatment.

Arvind Kejriwal latest news: Delhi CM Kejriwal lauds performance of state govt-run schools in CBSE board exam results
The Delhi government on Monday announced that 96.99 per cent class 12th students and 94.2 per cent class 10th students studying in the schools run by them came out with flying colours in the CBSE 2024 exam results. This marks a nine per cent high in the Delhi government school results as compared to the national average of CBSE, it said.
The class 12th board results in the Delhi government schools have registered an increase of 5.4 per cent while class 10th results have improved by 8.36 per cent from the previous year's performance.
According to an official statement, 307 of the Delhi government schools have achieved 100 per cent result in class 12th, a 2.5 times increase compared to 118 of last year.
Meanwhile, 327 schools have achieved 100 per cent result in class 10th board, up from 124 last year.
It further said 863 schools have achieved more than 90 per cent result in class 12th board which has increased from 647 schools last year.

Arvind Kejriwal News Live: A Delhi court is likely to consider on Tuesday a fresh charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate in the Delhi excise policy-linked money laundering case naming BRS leader K Kavitha and four others as accused. Special Judge for ED and CBI cases, Kaveri Baweja, who was likely to take up the charge sheet for cognisance on Monday, adjourned the matter for May 14.
The ED on Friday filed the nearly 200-page prosecution complaint (charge sheet) along with annexures under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

The Supreme Court dismissed a plea on Monday that sought the removal of Arvind Kejriwal from the position of chief minister following his arrest in a money laundering case connected to the excise policy scam. SC dismisses a plea seeking Arvind Kejriwal's removal as the chief minister of Delhi because of his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in the Delhi excise policy case.
SC says there may be a proprietorial issue relating to Arvind Kejriwal continuing as CM of Delhi despite being arrested, but there is no legal right with anyone to seek a direction from the court to ask him to step down. Dismissing a petition seeking Kejriwal's resignation, a bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta said the bench had raised the same proprietorial issue in its order granting interim bail to Kejriwal for campaigning. If required LG may take appropriate decision, it said.
