As the vote counting progresses in the Okhla constituency, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Amanatullah Khan continues to maintain a significant lead after the fifth round. Khan has secured 21,757 votes, leading by a margin of 9,518 votes over his closest rival, Shifa Ur Rehman from the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), who has garnered 12,239 votes.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Manish Chaudhary is in third place with 8,359 votes, while the Congress candidate Ariba Khan is trailing with 4,289 votes.

As the counting of votes progresses in the Uttam Nagar constituency, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) continues to hold its lead after the fifth round. Reflecting on the current trends, Congress' New Delhi candidate Sandeep Dikshit acknowledged to reporters that BJP appears poised to form the government, noting that whilst they highlighted key issues, the public seemingly doubted Congress's ability to govern.

"As of now it seems that they (BJP) will form the govt... We raised the issues but I think people thought that we are not going to form the govt - we accept the decision of the people," Sandeep Dikshit told reporters.

When questioned on Saturday about potential post-election collaboration with Aam Aadmi Party, Dikshit maintained uncertainty, stating to ANI, "I have no idea about the alliance. It is up to the decision of the high command. Let the counting of the votes happen."

The electoral battle in Krishna Nagar constituency features three prominent candidates: BJP's Anil Goyal, AAP's Vikas Bagga, and Congress representative Gurcharan Singh.

Delhi chief minister Atishi was trailing BJP rival Ramesh Bidhuri by 1,149 votes from Kalkaji seat at the end of the first round of counting for the Delhi Assembly polls, the Election Commission website showed. Bidhuri said the AAP would be "eliminated" from Delhi.

"The people will give the BJP a decisive mandate. Under PM Narendra Modi's leadership, Delhi will progress along with the rest of the country. I can confidently say that the AAP will be eliminated from the national capital," he said.

As counting continues for the Delhi Assembly elections, BJP Delhi President Virendra Sachdeva declared that the next Chief Minister will be from BJP, though the central leadership will decide on the candidate. With BJP leading in 38 seats and AAP in 27, he stated that the results were in line with expectations but emphasized the need to wait for the final outcome.

AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Friday accused the Election Commission of refusing to upload Form 17C, which records the vote count per booth in each assembly segment, despite multiple requests from the party.

In response, AAP launched a website to share the data for all assembly seats.

In a recent post on X, Kejriwal said, “This form contains detailed voting data for each booth. We will present the information in a tabulated format so every voter can access it.”

The vote counting for the crucial Delhi Assembly elections is set to begin soon.

AAP is seeking a third straight term, while BJP is striving to reclaim power after over two decades in the capital.

Exit polls released on Wednesday largely favored BJP, but AAP leaders dismissed them, citing past instances where their performance was underestimated. They remain confident of securing another term.
