Gujarat CM oath ceremony Live Updates: PM Modi, Amit Shah on stage, Bhupendra Patel takes oath as Gujarat CM for second time

Bhupendra Patel was sworn in as CM of Gujarat Gandhinagar's t Helipad Ground. The ceremony was attended by PM Narendra Modi and top BJP leaders, including Union ministers and chief ministers of state ruled by the party. Patel won the Ghatlodia seat with the highest margin of 1.92 lakh votes in the elections.In the just-concluded Gujarat assembly elections,the BJP won record 156 seats. Bhupendra Patel will take oath Monday as the 18th CM of Gujarat at a swearing-in that is expected to have BJP’s biggest names in attendance, including PM Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah and CMs of BJP-governed states. Patel, 60, will be sworn in as CM for the second term after he was chosen for the top job last year. A low-profile Patidar BJP functionary and a first from the Kadva Patidar sub-group to become CM, Patel had replaced Vijay Rupani in September 2021. Governor Acharya Devvrat will administer the oath of office at the ceremony to be held at the helipad ground in Gandhinagar at 2pm. It is expected that new ministers will also take oath.
