Speaking at a poll rally, Amit Shah criticized the Congress on issues of corruption, reservations, and Article 370, claiming that the Congress wants to reinstate it. He expressed confidence that the BJP will secure a third consecutive victory in Haryana after the October 5 elections.

PM Modi brought land scams allegedly involving Robert Vadra and former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda centrestage as he cautioned voters of Haryana that Congress’s return would bring back scams of “kharchi-parchi sarkar”, a term BJP also used in its manifesto to target the rival over allegations of corruption and land scams during its term.

“In Haryana, farmers’ land was looted, and the state was handed over to ‘dalals’ (middlemen) and ‘daamad’ (son-in-law),” PM Modi said referring to land deals during Hooda’s term as CM in which Vadra, husband of Congress general secretary Priyanka Vadra, is an accused.

Addressing his second poll meeting in Haryana, in Gohana in Sonipat district, PM Modi challenged Congress’s sincerity in making generous promises to farmers, saying the party had not implemented those promises in states where it was in office.

Meanwhile, JP Nadda also held a press conference in Jammu where he criticised the opposition alliance of Congress with NC and PDP.

Union home minister Amit Shah trained his guns on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, asking if he knew the full form of MSP as he underlined that the BJP government in Haryana was procuring 24 crops at the minimum support price.

Speaking at a poll rally, Amit Shah criticized the Congress on issues of corruption, reservations, and Article 370, claiming that the Congress wants to reinstate it. He expressed confidence that the BJP will secure a third consecutive victory in Haryana after the October 5 elections.

Taking a dig at the Congress over farmers' issues, Shah said that some NGO had advised Rahul Gandhi that mentioning MSP (Minimum Support Price) would help him gain votes.

"Rahul baba, do you know full form of MSP? Which crop is of Kharif, which one is of Rabi, do you know," he asked. Shah said the BJP government in Haryana is procuring 24 crops at MSP. "Let Congress leaders in Haryana tell which Congress-ruled state procures as many crops."

Haryana Assembly Election 2024: Amit Shah promises to raise PM-Kisan benefit by Rs 4k in rally in Haryana

Union home minister Amit Shah said in the industrial city of Rewari, the benefits of the ‘Ayushman Bharat’ scheme will be increased to Rs 10 lakh, and for the elderly, another Rs. 5 lakh will be given — an indication that any state govt can raise the health insurance amount covering a poor family from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh per year.

Currently, every landholder farmer family annually gets Rs 6,000 in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each under the PM-Kisan, an income support scheme which was launched ahead of the 2019 parliamentary elections.

This is the second time when the promise to hike the amount under PM-Kisan has been made publicly.
