SESSION SUMMARY - 23.4 overs, 67 runs and 6 wickets! This session well and truly belonged to Bangladesh. Firstly, it was some excellent batting from Mehidy Hasan who added crucial runs with the tail-enders and registered a fine unbeaten fifty which set up a target of 332 for the Kiwis. After coming on to bowl, Shoriful Islam set the tone for the then by getting rid of Tom Latham in the first over and some really good bowling changes from Najmul Hossain Shanto helped them to get a couple of more wickets the big one being of Kane Williamson who fell victim to Taijul Islam for the second time in this Test while Mehidy got one too. They have a firm grip on this game and with a lot of time left, they will back themselves to get over the line. New Zealand, on the other hand, would have been happy with their bowling effort as they wrapped up things in the first hour of the second session with the help of the second new ball. However, their batting haven't been great on this tricky pitch as they have already lost three wickets and still need 295 runs. The responsibility now rests on the shoulders of Daryl Mitchell and Devon Conway to take them out of this difficult situation and give them a chance in this game.
