India vs West Indies Highlights, 3rd T20I: India crush West Indies by 7 wickets to stay alive in the series

Suryakumar Yadav was back to his dismissive best as India defeated the West Indies by seven wickets in the third T20I on Tuesday. The victory kept visitors India alive in the series. After Kuldeep Yadav (3/28) stopped the flow of runs in the middle overs, West Indies skipper Rovman Powell's stunning 40 not out off 19 balls took the hosts to a competitive 159 for five. In the run chase, debutant Yashavi Jaiswal (1) and Shubman Gill (6) were out cheaply before Suryakumar came up with a remarkable 83 off 44 balls to help India reach the target in 17.5 overs. Tilak Varma (49 not out off 37 balls) was content to back up his senior Mumbai Indians teammate in their 87-run stand. Tilak missed his second consecutive fifty in his first series as skipper Hardik Pandya (20* off 15) hit the winning six.

SIX! Hardik Pansya (20* off 15) finished off the chase in style, hitting a big six over long-off off Rovman Powell in the 18th over. India chased down the 16-run target with 13 balls to spare and seven wickets in hand. Young Tilak Varma (49* off 37) remained unbeaten just one short of his fifty. India now trailed West Indies 1-2 in the five-match series.

Alzarri Joseph finished off his good spell with a tidy six-run over. Alzarri returned figures of 2 for 25 in 4 overs. India are almost home now.

Wicketless spell for Akeal Hosein today. The spinner ended his spell with a seven-run over to return figures of 0 for 31 in 4 overs.

Successful one for Alzarri Joseph, dismissing 'dangerous' Surkumar Yadav (83 off 44) to give West Indies a massive breakthrough. Surya was taking the game away from the hosts, but this time hit it straight to Brandon King at deep backward square leg. Surya hit his fourth six in the over to go with 10 fours during his whirlwind knock. India are on top at this stage.

Suryakumar Yadav (77* off 41) started the over with a four off the first delivery, but Akeal Hosein recovered a bit to concede just 8 in total in it. The asking rate is below 6 per over now for India.

Shubman Gill (4*) opened his account with a first-ball four, before Obed McCoty dismissed debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal, who miscued his shot and was holed out at mid-on by Alzarri Joseph. Then Suryakumar Yadav came into bat and started with a bang - a four ans six off the first two deliveries he faced. McCoy leaked 16 runs despite taking a wicket.
