PITCH REPORT - Former Bangladesh cricketer, Athar Ali Khan is pitchside. He says that there is a little bit of green tinge on top of the wicket. Adds that the bowlers will look to pitch it on the good length area to get some movement. Mentions that the square boundaries are 70 and 62 meters while the straight hit is 79 meters. He expects even bounce and reckons it will be good for both bowling and batting. 

A winning start is crucial - Shaheen Afridi, the skipper of Pakistan, says he'd opt to bat first on this track. He also shares that they will have 4 debutants, therefore they will get the chance to bat freely without pressure, and support them. On the expectation on debutants he says that he is excited, having seen them perform well for the Shaheens and domestically. Afridi hopes they'll go on to have long careers with Pakistan. Afridi also believes a winning start is crucial as it gives him more freedom as captain, and he wants to just go with the flow and play their best cricket. After being asked that what would be a suitable target on the track, he replied that 270-280 would be a good target.

The players are excited for this series - Mehidy Hasan Miraz, the captain of Bangladesh, says they would like to bowl first as he feels the dew might come in the evening. Reckons that they have a very good bowling attack and hopes for some early wickets in the first 10 overs. Tells that they have experience with these conditions as they recently played a domestic tournament here. Mentions the players are excited for the series. Informs they are going with three pacers and two spinners.
