In fresh news from the world of electric racing, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship has announced Lenovo as the Official AR and Digital Content Provider for the current season. Lenovo’s AI and advanced computing technology will streamline Formula E’s broadcast processes, strengthen live event operations, optimise onboard camera performance, and deliver more immersive fan experiences for a global TV audience of more than half a billion viewers.

The collaboration between Formula E and Lenovo demonstrates how AI can help sports organisations manage real-time operations while enhancing fan engagement during race weekends.The partnership will bring Formula E fans closer to the action through an AI-powered digital human experience enabled by Lenovo’s xIQ agent platform, creating authentic interactions, personalised engagement, and deeper immersion for race enthusiasts.
It will also deliver more dynamic, data-driven storytelling through AI-powered augmented reality graphics integrated into live broadcasts for Formula E’s global audience.Additionally, Lenovo’s technology will help Formula E improve the consistency and quality of onboard race footage through AI-driven real-time colour balancing across the 10 onboard cameras fitted to each Formula E car.
