Alex Vesia, a pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and his wife Kayla Vesia are going through a painful time. On social media this week, Kayla shared an emotional message about losing their baby and how the couple is trying to move forward together. Her words were simple, honest, and full of grief.
Kayla spoke directly to followers about the days after the loss. She thanked fans and the Dodgers organization for standing by them. Her message gave a quiet look into how the couple is coping, one day at a time, during a moment that changed their lives forever.
Alex Vesia and Kayla Vesia share their grief after losing their baby
Alex Vesia and Kayla Vesia shared their loss publicly during the MLB offseason in late 2025. In a joint message posted online, they wrote, “There are no words to describe the pain we’re going through, but we hold her in our hearts and cherish every second we had with her.”
They also thanked the Dodgers for their care and understanding. “Thank you to the Dodgers for their understanding and support during this time,” the statement read. “Our baseball family showed up for us and we wouldn’t be able to do this without them.”
Because of the loss, Alex Vesia stepped away during the Dodgers’ World Series run in the fall. The team kept the couple in their thoughts throughout the postseason.
The Dodgers later won the championship, defeating the Toronto Blue Jays, but the moment was deeply personal for the Vesias.
Kayla later spoke in a TikTok video, posted in December 2025, where she wiped away tears while talking to followers.
“I share a lot of Alex and I’s life on here, and it felt right to come and say thank you,” she said.
“The support and love really brought us comfort.”In the same video, Kayla Vesia explained that she is unsure what her social media content will look like going forward.
“I don’t know what this content is going to look like,” she said. “But I do want to share my journey if it helps someone feel less alone.”
She added that talking online feels different from private conversations.
“It’s a different outlet,” Kayla explained.
“Right now, I don’t have a whole lot to say. I’m just really grateful for all the love.”Kayla also shared a line that stayed with many viewers. “I was prepared for whatever was going to happen,” she said softly.
“I wasn’t prepared for not taking my baby home.” She told followers she will return online slowly in the new year, adding,
“Love you guys. That’s all for now.”Also Read:
