Kevin Durant further elaborated,"You know, so I was looking for some validation from my coaches and my teammates to just be like, "Yo, you're nice." Or somebody to be like, "Yo, we want to pick KD on my team when you're outside."
So my friends start to knock on my door. Can Katie come play today? Like that's how I started to feel confident in myself, and then my coaches were to work with me every day. So they didn't. It's easy. I've seen them say, Nah, this kid is trash; don't bring him back tomorrow, but they kept inviting me back. So my com knew something was there. Yeah, I just knew something was up. Something was, you know what I mean, kids validating you."Kevin Durant believes he would not have come a long way without his mother, Wanda. The famous NBA icon is still his mama’s boy and never misses a chance to give her the much-needed credit.
