Resumingon overnight score of 45 for 2, visitors Assam were bundled out for 195 runs inreply to the host team's first innings score of 215.
Middle orderbatsmen S Purakayastha fought brilliantly and scored 77 (129 balls, 7x4). He wassupported by Deepak Sharma (46) and Jacob Martin (20).
For Tripura,Vinit Jain, Timir Chanda, Abhijit Dey and Jayanta Debnath bagged two wicketseach.
But in the last session of second day, host Tripura could notcarry out their advantage and fell in trouble by losing five wickets of secondinnings just adding 96 runs in the board.
Opener Rajib Saha scored23 and Subal Choudhury made 22.
