Nvidia has rolled out a new NVIDIA app beta update that unlocks the full DLSS 4.5 feature set, headlined by Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and a new 6X multiplier mode for GeForce RTX 50 Series GPU owners.
The biggest addition is Dynamic Multi Frame Generation—think of it as an automatic transmission for your GPU. Rather than locking into a fixed frame multiplier, it shifts dynamically between different multipliers to balance frame rate, image quality, and input responsiveness. Users can toggle it globally or configure it per game from the app's Graphics tab.
6x mode pushes path-traced 4K gaming to a new ceiling
For RTX 50 Series owners specifically, DLSS 4.5 goes further with a 6x Multi Frame Generation mode. The system generates five additional frames for every natively rendered one, and Nvidia claims this jump from 4x to 6x boosts 4K frame rates in path-traced titles by up to 35% compared to the previous mode. Nvidia says latency impact is kept in check by pairing the new frame generation model with Reflex.
The update also brings a new Frame Generation model for RTX 40 and 50 Series users that improves how in-game UI elements are rendered—mini maps, HUD overlays, and interface text should all look sharper and cleaner as a result.
Two popular games get DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution support
On the games front, ARC Raiders' fifth free content update—the Flashpoint Update—is live now and supports DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, Reflex, and RTXGI. Marvel Rivals' Season 7 is also out, adding new hero White Fox and a Lower Manhattan map dropping April 2. Both titles support DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution via the NVIDIA app.
DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution itself, which runs on a second-generation transformer AI model, is available across all GeForce RTX GPUs—not just the latest generation.
