The Defiant features a hybrid driver configuration with one 10mm dynamic driver and three balanced armature drivers, tuned over six iterations to achieve what Headphone Zone describes as "balanced without being boring, engaging without being coloured."Raghav Somani, Founder and CEO of Headphone Zone said "If you're spending under ten thousand on an IEM, this is the one. Our whole team agrees, and that's rare. We've compared it against everything in this price range. The Defiant holds its own and then some."Headphone Zone X Juzear Defiant IEM comes in two variants. The new IEM comes with a 10mm dynamic driver that handles bass with real weight and texture. There is also custom composite balanced armature that covers the mids with body and clarity. The crossover is a gold-plated PCB circuit with high-tolerance components, built for clean frequency separation between all four drivers. The dynamic driver uses a carbon-PU diaphragm, neodymium magnet, and large voice coil for controlled, impactful bass. The shells of IEM are crafted from medical-grade resin using high-precision DLP 3D printing, built around the natural contour of the ear. A triple-path fully damped acoustic duct system reduces distortion, widens the soundstage, and improves imaging. The IEM features FLARE hybrid cable that uses 280 strands of 6N single crystal copper and silver-plated copper. Further, the Audiophile Edition comes with interchangeable 3.5mm and 4.4mm balanced plugs for use with dedicated audio sources. The Everyday Edition has a built-in DAC in the cable and a Type-C termination for direct smartphone connection.
