Dell launches new storage, AI servers and cyber resilience tools for modern data centres
Dell has announced a new range of storage, compute, cyber resilience and automation products designed for modern data centres and AI workloads. In a press release, the company said the new offerings are aimed at helping businesses handle the growing demand for artificial intelligence while also improving performance, security and infrastructure management. As part of the new range, Dell has introduced new PowerStore storage systems, next-generation PowerEdge servers, cyber recovery platforms and automation software. The company said enterprises are increasingly struggling to balance traditional business workloads with rising AI infrastructure needs, and the latest products are designed to support both.Arthur Lewis, president of Infrastructure Solutions Group at Dell Technologies, said, “AI doesn't wait, and neither can the infrastructure under it. The modern data center is defined by intelligent software that makes IT simpler, and we're delivering it end-to-end.”

Dell PowerStore Elite

One of the biggest announcements was Dell PowerStore Elite, a new intelligent storage platform that combines AI-driven software with upgraded hardware. Dell claims the system delivers three times better performance and density compared to previous generations and can provide up to 5.8 petabytes of effective capacity in a single 3U appliance.
The platform also includes modular and field-upgradable components to allow upgrades without downtime or data migration.Dell also introduced its 18th-generation PowerEdge servers. According to the company, the new servers deliver up to 70% better performance and support advanced air and liquid cooling systems for AI and high-performance computing workloads. The lineup includes:
  • Dell PowerEdge M9825 for AI and HPC workloads
  • Dell PowerEdge XE5845 and XE7845 for PCIe-based AI deployments
  • Dell PowerEdge R9825 and R9815 with AMD EPYC processors
  • Dell PowerEdge R9810 powered by Intel’s next-generation Diamond Rapids processors
  • Dell PowerEdge R8815, R6815, R7815, R7815xd and R7825 servers for enterprise and storage-heavy workloads

Dell announces PowerProtect One

Dell additionally announced PowerProtect One, which it called a unified cyber resilience platform designed to protect and recover business-critical data from ransomware and cyberattacks. The company also launched Dell Cyber Detect, an AI-powered ransomware detection tool for PowerStore and PowerMax storage systems.On the software side, Dell introduced updates to Dell Automation Platform and Dell Private Cloud. The company said the platform will support AI-driven infrastructure management, automated cloud deployment and agentic AI capabilities for system optimisation.

  • Dell PowerStore Elite will be available in July 2026.
  • Dell PowerEdge M9825, Dell PowerEdge R9825 and Dell PowerEdge R9815 servers will be available in 2H 2026.
  • Dell PowerEdge XE5845 and Dell PowerEdge XE7845 servers will be available in Q1 2027.
  • Dell PowerEdge R9810 server will be available in 2027.
  • Dell PowerEdge R8815, Dell PowerEdge R6815, Dell PowerEdge R7815, Dell PowerEdge R7815xd and Dell PowerEdge R7825 servers will be available in 2027.
  • Dell PowerProtect One is available now.
  • Dell Cyber Detect for Dell PowerStore will be available Q3. Dell Cyber Detect for Dell PowerMax will be available in 2H 2026.
  • Dell Private Cloud deploying VMware with VCF 9.1 support will be available in June 2026.
  • Dell Private Cloud deploying Nutanix with Dell PowerStore support will be available in July 2026.
  • Dell Private Cloud deploying Microsoft Azure Local will be available in June 2026.
  • Dell Distributed Private Cloud is available now.
  • Dell Automation Platform Agentic AI capabilities are planned to be available later this year.
  • Dell Automation Studio will be available in June 2026.
