Veteran Malayalam actor T P Madhavan passed away at 85 due to cardiac arrest. He had acted in over 600 films across a long career. His children, with whom he was estranged, attended his funeral. Prominent personalities like Bollywood director Raja Krishna Menon also paid their respects. Madhavan spent his last years at a care facility in Pathanapuram. Many celebrities, including Mohanlal, mourned his demise.
