Director Pandiraaj's upcoming film 'Parimala & Co' was born from a lockdown challenge. Initially conceived as a web series idea, the script evolved into a dark comedy thriller. Jayaram and Urvashi lead this family-centric film, which explores diverse personalities and unfolds across Chennai, Coimbatore, and Palacode, marking Pandiraaj's twelfth directorial venture.

Director Pandiraj revealed Urvashi's remarkable professionalism on the set of 'Parimala & Co' after she learned of her brother's passing. Despite her grief, she returned to shoot a comedy scene the next day, impressing the entire crew with her dedication. Jayaram's support also played a crucial role in navigating the challenging situation.

Sangeeth Sobhan's 'Raakaasa' is outpacing Sharwanand's 'Biker' at the global box office. On Day 5, 'Raakaasa' garnered ₹15.03 crore worldwide gross, slightly ahead of 'Biker's' ₹13.19 crore. While 'Biker' offers high-speed racing drama, 'Raakaasa' entertains with a fun fantasy comic thriller, drawing praise for its unique story and performances.

Raakaasa saw a slight dip, earning Rs 0.85 crore net, but leads globally with Rs 16.01 crore. Both films are attracting audiences with their distinct genres.
